About the Author
James R. Arnold is a military historian and the author of sixteen books. In addition to his four Napoleonic titles, his works include Presidents Under Fire, a study of how American presidents perform as war leaders, Grant Wins the War, a campaign study of Vicksburg, and Jeff Davis's Own, the story of the future Civil War generals who served in the Second Cavalry in Texas during the Indian Wars. He is working on Jungle Full of Snakes, a case study history of counter-insurgency.
Ralph R. Reinertsen received his university degrees in economics and history. He lives in Switzerland where he works as a partner in an international professional services firm.
